Liz Kaplow is a visionary entrepreneur who has reinvented the practice of public relations for today’s social/digital world.
Liz founded Kaplow Communications on the belief that brands can make meaningful connections with consumers through storytelling, an insight ahead of its time. Two-plus decades later, she pioneered the use of emerging technology to revolutionize the practice and better serve clients.
A respected advisor to business leaders around the globe, Liz also has been a mentor to prominent young practitioners. She has earned many honors, including the coveted Matrix Award from New York Women in Communications and PRNews’ Top Women in PR Award, as well as a repeated spot on New York Observer’s PR Power List.
She serves on the boards of Cosmetic Executive Women and the PRSA Foundation. An honors graduate of Vassar College, she has a graduate degree from the Fashion Institute of Technology.

Vicki has spent more than 20 years developing and implementing pervasive communications programs for Fortune 500 companies and start-ups, emerging names and world-class brands, luxury offerings and mass market must-haves. As Executive Vice President, Global, Consumer, she is responsible for bringing client stories to life for consumers around the world. She leads the global consumer program for Microsoft’s Skype division and Skype’s Social Good platform, Skype in the classroom. She also manages the agency’s global network of independent agency partners, ensuring Kaplow’s highest standards of service and quality are consistent the world over.
Before joining Kaplow, Vicki headed the Beauty/Consumer division of LaForce + Stevens, leading campaigns for such clients as Avon, Unilever, Revlon, Coty, Pfizer and more. Earlier, she was Director of Public Relations for the Johnson & Johnson Group of Consumer Companies. A graduate of Seton Hall University, Vicki is active in the Junior League of Greater Princeton, the St. Paul School Parent Teacher Association and the St. Paul Fine Arts Committee.
Chief Strategy Officer
These days, a brand must be digitally savvy to stand out. I make sure our campaigns integrate traditional PR with digital in a strategic way that gets people talking.
Randi has more than 16 years of experience developing marketing communications programs, building brand equity and creating web-based and mobile interactive experiences that engage consumers. As Chief Strategy Officer, she oversees programming for all communications and digital initiatives across the agency.
Prior to joining Kaplow, Randi led editorial and community management efforts for more than 20 web properties at Mindspark Interactive Network. Earlier, she served as a senior product manager, developing requirements and optimizations for web sites, Facebook and mobile applications, and data analytics. Randi began her career in public relations working on programs for Dove and the Campaign for Real Beauty, Tide, Weight Watchers, Ford Motor Company, General Mills and other industry-leading brands.

Joanne has been with Kaplow for more than a decade. She assumed her current role in 2008. As Chief Operating Officer for Kaplow, Joanne is responsible for supporting business operations by maintaining revenue, producing accounting information, protecting assets, and overseeing all office operations including systems, facilities and staff.
She is a strategic and collaborative professional who joined the agency in 2004 as operations manager and advanced to her current role as she has helped the business grow.
Prior to joining Kaplow, Joanne worked for Citigroup and a number of other investment banks. She is a member of Society for Human Resource Management and serves as a volunteer with Literacy Partners.

Evan has been the Chief Financial and Operating Officer of Kaplow Communications, Inc. since 1998. Prior to joining Kaplow on a full-time basis, he acted as legal counsel and helped in the original formation and operations for the Company.
Evan has served as a legal advisor in the areas of real estate and corporate law and as a principal in various real estate developments for more than 25 years. The firm he co-founded, Jacobs & Mosokowitz, advised clients in a broad range of areas, including real estate, finance and manufacturing.
Evan holds an A.B. from Vassar College and a J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law. He serves as the Treasurer and on the board of Project Morry, a youth development organization as well as on the board of his coop. He was active in alumni admissions with Vassar and is currently members of both St. Andrews Golf Club and the Penn Club.
Sr. Vice President

Bob is a public relations specialist with nearly 20 years of experience, working in both agency and corporate practices. His expertise includes developing and executing retail, consumer lifestyle, consumer technology, thought leadership, business and crisis programs. As a Senior Vice President, he is responsible for developing strategic programs on behalf of a diverse client list that spans globally recognized consumer brands and retailers to startups. He also works cross-functionally, providing insight to corporate communications, thought leadership and crises response across Kaplow’s clients.
Before Kaplow, he worked as the Sr. PR Manager, Consumer at Toys“R”Us, Inc, supporting all aspects of the company’s business for Toys“R”Us, Babies“R”Us and FAO Schwarz. While he primarily focused on developing and executing consumer programs, he also played a lead role in executive messaging and management, corporate communications, crisis management, social media strategy, community management, internal communications and cause marketing. Prior to Toys“R”Us, he worked at various levels at Swatch Group, U.S., Bratskeir & Company, FAO Schwarz and Edelman.
SVP, Influencer Marketing
Developing authentic alignments is at the core of Kaplow’s DNA. We take pride in connecting brands with the right influential voices to drive advocacy and change consumer behavior.
Samara is an integrated communications professional with over a decade of experience working with influencers. Samara’s category expertise spans consumer, lifestyle, food, health and wellness. At Kaplow, she is responsible for developing innovative influencer executions, creating authentic ambassador partnerships and upholding industry best practices across the agency. She also has experience in influencer technology, analytics and measurement. Samara believes influencer marketing is a critical extension of communications strategy and not a siloed distribution channel.
Prior to joining Kaplow, Samara led the influencer relations team at Marina Maher Communications developing influencer engagement strategies for clients such as Procter & Gamble, Coty, Bayer, Henkel, Merck and Pfizer.
Samara graduated cum laude from Fordham University with a degree in Communications/Media Studies and currently sits on their Board of Advisers for undergraduate education at the Lincoln Center campus. Understanding the complex management of scaling influencer marketing programs, she recently earned her PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.

Claire Nilsson is a senior public relations executive with over 12 years of experience creating transformative communications strategies for global beauty and lifestyle companies. Prior to joining Kaplow Communications, Claire was the Vice President of mml public relations, a beauty, fashion and lifestyle agency, where she oversaw the beauty roster of clients, including essie, NYX Cosmetics, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Garnier, Soap & Glory, DERMAFLASH, and Mary Kay Cosmetics.
Previous to mml, Claire was with Ketchum Public Relations working across their entertainment and CPG platforms for brands such as Absolut, Maserati, ConAgra Foods and Mattel.
Claire began her career in public relations after attending Vanderbilt University.

Jee Nah is a fashion and retail PR authority and has led public relations, brand strategy and integrated communications for category leading clients with an emphasis on mass market designers and brands, multi-channel retailers and digital upstarts and innovators.
Jee Nah led the repositioning of Timex from a bottom shelf watch to a fashionable style brand and has led award-winning campaigns including Kaplow’s work with PVH’s Warner’s brand that was awarded the Gold Sabre for Best Fashion and Beauty Campaign of the Year. She has extensive experience launching exclusive retail and brand partnerships, as well as designer collaborations with style icons such as Twiggy and Iman, and designers Badgley Mischka and Naeem Khan.
From influencer programs, retail/executive visibility, creative events and best-in-class media relations, Jee Nah’s strategic approach brings her clients directly to the consumers they are trying to reach.

Laurie Shulman Derousseau has more than 12 years of experience in integrated communications programs with an emphasis on digital communication and media strategy. Through social listening, she’s identified opportunities for her clients to stand apart from competitors and insert themselves into meaningful conversations. She’s established strategies heavily rooted in insights and analytics and led programs for clients including Fidelity, Shiseido Cosmetics, Skype in the Classroom, 23andMe, Laura Mercier, RéVive, and Cosmetic Executive Women (CEW).
Prior to joining Kaplow, Laurie was part of the social media and media relations practices at Marina Maher Communications, in which she launched social communities and spearheaded influencer partnerships on behalf of Procter & Gamble beauty brands, (Herbal Essences, Clairol, COVERGIRL and Aussie), as well as Food & Beverage brands ranging from Boboli Pizza to Santa Margherita Wines. She also led the PR and media relations efforts for Audiovox Corporation and its subsidiaries. Laurie is a graduate of Boston University with a B.S. in Public Relations.
